Practice 04 · 10 servicesArtificial intelligence & automation

Artificial intelligence can answer questions, find one piece of information among thousands of documents or pull the figures off an invoice. What it cannot do is decide for you what deserves to be automated. Kopus’s AI and automation practice starts with that question, then designs chatbots, assistants, agents and automations that stay under your teams’ control.

What is at stakeWhat AI and automation really involve for a company

The main risk is not missing out on AI. It is adopting it without a purpose: a process automated before it has been cleaned up simply reproduces its flaws faster. Four subjects come up every time:

  1. frequent, clearly bounded use cases whose output can be checked;
  2. data that is accessible and current, without which answers will be out of date;
  3. an explicit level of human oversight: what the system does alone, what it suggests, what it submits for approval;
  4. confidentiality and the running cost of the models, settled before deployment.

10 services to move forwardOur AI and automation services

  1. 04.01 AI agent development An agent reads, decides within a defined frame and acts inside your tools, over several steps. We set the permitted actions, the human approvals and the controls before anything goes into production.
  2. 04.02 AI chatbot for business On your website or sales channels, a chatbot answers visitors, qualifies their request, points them in the right direction or books an appointment. We define the questions covered, the sources and the handover to a person.
  3. 04.03 Customer support chatbot For after-sales, we analyse why customers get in touch, build resolution paths from your knowledge base and connect the chatbot to your ticketing tools, with escalation to a human agent.
  4. 04.04 Custom AI assistant Linked to your data, an assistant produces analyses, drafts summaries or prepares decisions in your own vocabulary. We scope the uses, select the sources and test the answers on real cases.
  5. 04.05 AI assistant for employees Procedures, HR or IT questions, onboarding: we identify the recurring internal requests, manage access rights and plug the assistant into the team messaging tools already in use.
  6. 04.06 Business process automation Approvals, decision chains, exchanges with the ERP and CRM: we map the process end to end, remove the steps that add nothing, then automate the tasks that are stable.
  7. 04.07 AI integration for business This company-wide approach covers the choice of use cases, data, governance, confidentiality, training and the buy-or-build decision, ahead of any large-scale rollout.
  8. 04.08 Document AI and processing Invoices, contracts, forms: we set up extraction, classification and data checks (OCR included), with thresholds beyond which a person validates.
  9. 04.09 AI API integration We connect language or vision models to your applications: prompt design, control of cost and latency, access security, quality evaluation and fallback scenarios.
  10. 04.10 Workflow automation Triggers, data synchronisation, notifications: we draw up the sequences, conditions and exceptions, then configure them with no-code or low-code tools, for example n8n, Make or Zapier.

What makes the differenceWhy AI is better designed next to consulting and development

An AI project almost always touches something other than AI. Automating a process means having understood it and sometimes simplified it: that is consulting. Connecting an assistant to your documents means connectors, access rights and an interface: that is development.

Because these skills sit together at Kopus, the project does not stop at the edge of the tool. An inconsistent business rule is corrected before it is coded, a missing API is added to your software, and when a simple automation is enough, we tell you so.

Your questionsFrequently asked questions

Is our data sent to external services?

That depends on the architecture agreed with you: models hosted by providers, models deployed in your own environment, or data anonymised before any call, according to how sensitive it is.

What separates a chatbot, an assistant and an agent?

A chatbot answers questions. An assistant works on your data to produce content or analysis. An agent carries out multi-step tasks with access to tools, under human supervision.

Where should a company with no AI experience begin?

With a frequent, well-described task whose result you can verify: document processing or an internal assistant on a narrow scope, for example.
