Practice 03 · Web, software & digital solutionsBusiness showcase website: be found, understood and contacted

Your clients recommend you, yet when a prospect types your name into a search engine they land on a dated page with no recent photo, no opening hours and no obvious way to reach you. A showcase website has a single job: give that person, within seconds, reasons to trust you and a direct route to you. The job sounds modest. It takes real editorial discipline.

Anatomy of a homepageWhat the homepage has to do, block by block

Before scrolling, a prospect decides whether they are in the right place. The first screen therefore answers three questions: what do you do, can I trust you, how do I reach you. The rest of the page explains, proves and leads back to the same action.

The seven markers

  1. Contact details up front Tap-to-call number, service area and contact button in the header of every page.
  2. The promise in one sentence What you do, for whom and where: the main heading answers before the visitor has to look.
  3. Proof before arguments Years in business, qualifications, verified reviews: visible on the first screen.
  4. One card per service Each leads to its own detailed page, written in your customers’ words.
  5. Real work Photos of your projects or premises, clients quoted with their permission.
  6. A single next step Call or request a quote: the same action, repeated at the end of the page.
  7. A useful footer Address, opening hours and legal notices, matching your business listing.
Illustrative example. The order and content of the blocks are decided from the questions your prospects ask before they call.

Who it is for, and whenWho a showcase website is right for

It suits organisations whose work is sold through relationships and quotes rather than an online basket.

  1. A professional practice (accountancy, law, architecture, healthcare) whose clients check credentials online before booking an appointment.
  2. A tradesperson or construction company whose completed jobs leave no visible trace online, and whose service area is nowhere to be found.
  3. A service SME receiving poorly qualified enquiries because its pages never spell out what it does or on what terms.
  4. A local business whose hours and contact details differ from one platform to the next, which hurts it in nearby searches.

The scopeWhat Kopus builds into your showcase site

Content is decided from the questions prospects ask themselves before calling, and the site is organised to answer them in order.

  • A home page that states in one sentence what you do, for whom and where.
  • Service pages a non-specialist can understand, including the cases you handle and those you do not.
  • A proof section Completed work, photos of your premises or job sites, references you are allowed to quote, genuine qualifications.
  • Contact points placed where the visitor needs them A tap-to-call number on mobile, a short form, online booking if your activity suits it.
  • Local search groundwork A page per service area where it makes sense, contact details consistent with your business listing, local business structured data.
  • A light, fast site that can be browsed one-handed on a phone and that you update yourself.

The methodHow your showcase site comes together

  1. Business interview

You walk us through your services, your typical clients, the objections you hear and what makes a quote get signed.

  2. Page plan and key messages

The list of pages, the headline for each and the proof to gather; you collect photos and references while we design.

  3. Mockups and copy

Screens are designed with final text, never dummy text that hides length and hierarchy problems.

  4. Build and local search setup

Forms, verified business listing, tracking of calls and enquiries received.

  5. Launch and handover

You learn how to edit a page, add a completed project and read your enquiry statistics.

Our positionWhat we believe about showcase sites

An effective showcase site needs no animations, client area or configurator. It needs credibility, and credibility is built from concrete things: photos of your actual premises instead of stock imagery, services described in the words your clients use, an address and phone number visible without hunting. For a practice or a trade, every superfluous element dilutes the message and delays the launch.

Your questionsFrequently asked questions about this service

What should a good showcase website contain?

A clear proposition on the home page, services you can grasp without phoning, verifiable proof and an immediate way to make contact. Everything else is optional and judged case by case.

How many pages do we need?

As many as you have distinct services worth a page of their own, and no more. Six well-written pages do more work than thirty empty ones.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes. The site comes with an admin interface and a short training session for everyday edits. Structural changes remain possible with our help.

Can a showcase site grow into something bigger?

Yes. We build it on foundations that allow adding a blog, a customer area or a shop later, without starting over.

Do you provide hosting and the domain name?

Yes, we can manage everything, or work with your current host. Either way, the accounts stay in your name.

What is a showcase website?

A site of a few pages presenting a company, its services and contact details, without online sales. Its role is to build trust and generate contact requests.

How long does it take to launch a showcase website?

Three to six weeks in general, depending on how quickly copy and visuals are validated. Kopus can write the copy with you to speed things up.
